The second edition of “World Happiness Report” was just released and it presents the world’s happiest countries, a top based on various criteria such as social support, higher life expectancy, gross domestic product per capita, perceptions of corruption, and others, all explained in the report.
Now, I don’t know about you, but after seeing the top 10 happiest countries in the world, I was curious to see how some of the countries I visited and like did. Of course, I wanted to see how Romanian did – and no, the conclusions aren’t in its favor: Romania ranks 90 out of 156… But first, here are the top 20 countries in “Ranking of happiness”:
- Denmark
- Norway
- Switzerland
- Netherlands
- Sweden
- Canada
- Finland
- Austria
- Iceland
- Australia
- Israel
- Costa Rica
- New Zealand
- United Arab Emirates
- Panama
- Mexico
- United States
- Ireland
- Luxembourg
- Venezuela
Yes, I was very happy to see Austria in this top 10 – as this is a country I like and one I want to visit again and again :). Germany ranked 26, Czech Republic – a country I visited last year – ranked 39 and, in what all the other countries are concerned, I am recommending you to check out the top (page 23).
What do you think of this top? And how did your country ranked? And where would you want to live?
